Remote and Sussex, WI office as needed
Variable depending on time of year and current needs. This is a flexible position in the fact that work can be done from the office and from home as needed and times/days are also flexible as needed.
Position Summary:
Arise Milwaukee, Inc. is a nonprofit Catholic organization seeking a part-time person to assist with numerous administrative, marketing, and bookkeeping activities, as we seek to “Inspire people to fall in love with Jesus Christ in the Catholic Church.”
The candidate will learn from and collaborate with all aspects of this Catholic non-profit organization including: communication, marketing, administrative tasks, bookkeeping, and recording keeping, as well as assisting the executive director, ministry coordinator, development director, and event coordinators with various event planning and fundraising needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Marketing & Events:

Maintain mail and email lists for local youth ministers and parishes

Prepare mailings of marketing materials
-
Assist with events, including Gala and other donor events as well as outreach events
-
Prepare mailings
-
Collect and track donations and registrations as received
-
May travel to pick up donations and marketing materials, as directed

Maintain registration lists for all events
-
Assist with other event preparations such as organizing supplies and materials
-

Email bulletin editors with event information
-
Assist with grant applications as directed by the development director
-
Prepare event follow-up communications and/or surveys as directed, as well as prepare reports based on feedback or survey results.

Bookkeeping:
-
Enter deposits received by check and automatic transfers, including Bloomerang donations into QuickBooks

Pay bills and enter information into QuickBooks

Reconcile bank accounts
-
Run reports
-
Monthly

Quarterly

Yearly

Make cash and check deposits

Prepare cash handling procedures for use at events

Following events, collect and deposit monies received

Run reports and organize year-end reporting

Run and send 1099s by January 31st

Experience with QuickBooks is preferred

General Office Duties:

Answer and direct phone calls
-
Retrieve and sort mail from PO Box
-
Respond to general email inquiries and /or direct to appropriate person
-
Filing, copying, order and organize office supplies
-
Other Special projects as assigned

Donor Information:
-
Maintain donor information, currently in excel spreadsheet
-
Write and send thank you notes to new donors or as directed
-
Run donor reports, organize and send year-end giving statement to donors for tax purposes
Other Duties:
-
Maintain prayer requests from website and weekly communication with Prayer Support Team

Take minutes at quarterly Board of Director meetings

Take minutes at event planning meetings, as requested
-
Check and maintain volunteer safeguarding status through the Archmil
-
Renew yearly licensings
Technologies:

G-suite for email, word processing, forms, spreadsheets and QuickBooks

Other online tools such as Reg Fox, Bloomerang, Mailchimp, Survey Monkey, etc.

Remote access to QuickBooks from personal computer

This is a paid position that averages 7-15 hours of work per week; variable depending on time of year and
current needs. This is a flexible position in the fact that work can be done from the office and from home
as needed and times/days are also flexible as needed.
